Alex Trochut is a Barcelona-born, San Francisco-based artist, graphic designer, illustrator, and typographer.

Mixing styles and genres and drawing equally from pop culture, street culture, fashion and music, Alex has worked for a diverse range of clients: Jaeger-LeCoultre, Nike, Adidas, The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, BBC, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, The Guardian, The New York Times, Time Magazine and many others.

After completing his studies at Elisava Escola Superior de Disseny in Barcelona, Spain, Alex established his own design studio before relocating to New York City.

Through his design, illustration and typographic practice he has developed an intuitive way of working that has resulted in his expressive visual style.

His work has been internationally recognized, appearing in exhibitions and publications worldwide. He has given talks and been honored by the Art Directors Club––including being named a 2008 Young Gun––the Type Directors Club, Creative Review, Cannes, Clio and D&AD among others.

Your rug is made from over 1,050,000 knots, each woven by hand. Using the softest and highest quality New Zealand wool, custom hand-dyed and spun.

• Technique: Tibetan handknotted in 125 knots per square inch.
• Material: New Zealand wool.
• Delivery time: approx. 12 weeks.
• Rug pile, two options: either one homogeneous pile height or different pile heights with the black yarn cut shorter, scultping a textured 3D rug.
