“Color provokes a psychic vibration. Color hides a power still unknown but real, which acts on every part of the human body.”

Wassily Kandinsky

Kandinsky painted his Composition X in 1939, with the most imaginative shapes and colours soaring in a sky of black. We have had the privilege to turn it into one of the most incredible custom rugs. And now you can have it in all its daring boldness. Elevate life in your own home to this whole new level of connection with art.

We will dye the yarn in 40 custom colours for your rug. And then finely weave over 1.3 Million Tibetan knots to create this unique rug for your home.

Even if the original artwork is currently in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, you can have it handwoven as a custom rug in your very own home.

Numbered limited edition of maximum 100 fine handmade rugs with this art piece. Each rug comes with a sewn-on label with the artist’s signature image and numbered by hand, per order. When we have woven 100 rugs of this art piece, we will no longer offer this painting as a custom rug. If this art piece calls to you, we suggest you take your decision to buy now!

For environmental reasons and to provide our full bespoke service, our rugs are always made to order.

Delivery time for this rug varies between 12 and 14 weeks (due to the many different colours and the ellaborate weaving of all the details).
